Music Tech Teacher

Don't let the graphics fool you. This is a quality site for music education. 

I love this site because it gives you access to digital pianos and lots of theory lessons, games, quizzes and worksheets. 

 If you have a touch screen you can play the piano right on your tablet. 

 This free website makes music lessons accessible to many students. 

Chrome Music Lab

Okay, this is a ton of fun! This free program will give you, and your budding musicians, hours of fun and creativity.  There are 14 different 'experiments' and even though this looks to be directed toward the younger grades, good luck pulling yourself away. 

 This is my Kandinsky workshop! So fun!

Good Ear - Online Ear Training 

This is another 'Cinderella' website. It may not look super engaging, but it does offer a lot of value especially for the price. 

Ear training is something that music students can struggle with especially if they are training in isolation from other musicians. 

I am very excited that I found this site and I can start using it from myself and my children. 

Christian Music and Music Theory Bundle

 

For an online/offline option we now offer a physical workbook to go with our digital copy.

What I think is great about the Christian Music Bundle is:

1) It teaches using songs that are familiar. So kids are already half way to success.

2) It teaches real music theory that can be used to read and write music in the future.

3) The fun activities and lessons keep students engaged.

4) The music is arranged so it can be played on any 8 note keyboard or xylophone, which many people have in their home already.

5) The colour coded note system makes it really easy for new musicians to sight read music.

This package has made a big difference in our music program at home.
